Tree planting 2025

Our tree-planting season for 2025 kicked off with a public event at Bowbridge Alpaca Farm on Sunday 19th January. The event was a huge success, with over 200 people arriving to help plant trees, and around 500 trees planted, including a grove of Scots Pine.

The event was extremely popular with families, and kids and adults alike enjoyed meeting the alpacas as well as planting a few trees. It was a bit chaotic at the busiest times, but everyone had a great time, including the alpacas who were very well fed that day!

Our next event followed shortly after, on Thursday 23rd January, this time with some of the pupils from Pittenweem Primary School. Each child planted one tree and added to the woodland which was created three years ago as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Unfortunately Storm Eowyn arrived the next day and knocked over a few of the tree shelters, but these have now been put back up and hopefully the new trees will flourish.
